I originally wanted the bulky, purple yarn for a bolero, the Carie Cropped Flare-Sleeve Cardigan (Spencer Jacket) by Stefanie Japel (in Fitted Knits), but I couldn't get the gauge to come right.So plan B is the Aran Pocketbook by Edie Eckman (in Bags, a Knitter's dozen), which I'll try to felt--the ruler is 12"/30cm, near the bottom of the purse, and I'm now working on the back:
